£30,000 award for a longstanding dental patient after the loss of 6 teeth.
Our client Mr E, a 64 year old man from the North West, was awarded £30,000 in an out of court settlement after his dentist Mr O provided poor dental treatment over a 30 year period.
Having visited Mr O regularly since 1984, it was not until 2011 when Mr E visited a new dentist that Mr E discovered that he required extensive remedial treatment on his teeth. Whilst treating Mr E over a thirty year period Mr O provided a range of unsatisfactory dental treatments, which included an ill fitting bridge, leaving root canal treatment unfinished and failing to diagnose and treat Mr E’s tooth decay.
As a result of Mr O’s failures our client Mr E lost 6 teeth, with the likely loss of another 2 and now requires extensive remedial treatment
Mr O neither admitted nor denied liability for his failings; however Mr E was successful in bringing a claim against him with the Dental Law Partnership.
Mr E said “I am relieved that I finally have compensation so I can now undergo the remedial treatment I need.”
