Five figure payout for South East woman following dental malpractice and a diagnosis failure.

Dental decay

Mrs R from the South East won her case against her dentist of 19 years and has been awarded £46,000 in dental malpractice compensation.

Our client, Mrs R felt a sense of betrayal and mistrust towards her dentist of 19 years after the extent of her dental neglect was discovered. It’s hardly imaginable that we would be mistreated by our family dentist, especially after nearly two decades of visits to the surgery, however that is what happened as Dr W had failed to diagnose and treat decay in multiple teeth over the 19 years and had provided Mrs R with extensive and avoidable root canal treatments and crowns.

Due to the poor treatments given to Mrs R she suffered with toothache, infections and pain over two decades. After suffering repeated bouts of toothache that were only ever treated with antibiotics Mrs R decided to seek a second opinion as she felt like her teeth were crumbling.

When she visited a new dentist the examination revealed that Mrs R had a severe level of decay which Dr W had repeatedly failed to treat appropriately, and had provided multiple poor root canal treatments. As a result of Dr W’s negligence Mrs R lost teeth and will need to undergo extensive implant therapy to fix the issues which has resulted in extreme distress and trauma after a 19 year period of carelessness from her dentist.

Unfortunately, this is not a rare incident and more cases of mistreatment are being discovered by our expert solicitors. If this scenario sounds familiar, you may be entitled to claim against your dentist. Call us for free today on 0800 0853 823 and talk through your concerns with the Dental Law Partnership team.
